Things to do in Charleston, SC for May

Well, we’re halfway through May here in Charleston, SC and there’s still plenty to do.  Look around and you'll see abundant signs of home improvement projects underway - from room repairs to gardening. If you're considering some changes to your home, you'll want to consider not only your own comfort, but also the ultimate return on your investment dollar. I'm always happy to advise you on getting the most out of your home, so please give me a call.

Meanwhile, the calendar begins to give us the flavor of the warm months ahead.

Here are a few things to do in May:

    * April 18th - May 15th - Charleston Free Movies in the Park take place every Friday evening in Marion Square at dusk (except May 1st), so bring your blankets and chairs. Food from numerous vendors, as well as beer and wine, will be available for purchase. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. For movie titles call 577-5304 ext. 140.

    * May 16th - It's spring, and along the South Carolina beaches, that means the return of nesting loggerhead sea turtles. Come to Edisto Beach State Park to help us celebrate. The 3rd Annual Turtle Fest will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Environmental Learning Center/Edisto Interpretive Center.

    * May 22 - June 7 - Spoleto - Spoleto Festival USA has earned a reputation for offering programs of the highest artistic caliber, supporting new and innovative works, nurturing outstanding young artists, and expanding public appreciation of the arts. For more information, call (843) 579-3100.
