Charleston Condo Living in SC
Condos for sale on the Peninsula downtown begin in the high $100K range, and are usually 1 bedroom and 500 sq feet or less. These inexpensive condos are typically very small and located above the Crosstown area of downtown, located in the Wagener Terrace and Hampton Park areas. Charleston Peninsula condos below Crosstown typically begin in the 300's, and are closer to the restaurants, shopping, CofC and MUSC, and the Arts. The average condo is in the $500K range and normally affords 2 bedrooms and around 1200 sq feet. 3 bedroom condos typically start in the $800's and can get into the millions for prime real estate near Queen and Broad streets.
"Prime" condo real estate downtown offer examples such as One Vendue Range bordering Waterfront Park and the world-renowned restaurants along East Bay Street. 21 George Street offers a prime location for those that like to shop along King Street, or for those serious students at the CofC that can afford luxury condo living. Along the Northeast end of the Charleston Peninsula you have The Anson House, which has beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor and the Cooper River Bridge, and sits across views of Mount Pleasant.
