When was the last time you saw a waterfront residence on the Intracoastal Waterway where you didn’t need flood insurance? Well this is certainly the exception. I saw this deepwater property yesterday and felt compelled enough to share it with all of you.
For those of you that know a little bit about location on James Island, this condo community is called Waterfront Plantation and is located right off of Maybank Highway along the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway). These condos don’t come on the market very often, as a matter of fact; I’ve only seen two others come on the market since 2004 here. It is a great location because you live on the ICW, you are 10 minutes to Folly Beach, and 5 minutes to downtown, Charleston.
It is a very quiet setting, with only 12 units, a private pool, and a private dock (large enough for you to have your own personal boat slip year round). You get panoramic views of the ICW, Coburg Creek, and even a glimpse of the Cooper River Bridge. The unit itself has wood floors throughout the first floor, and cherry cabinets with granite countertops in the kitchen. It is made up of 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and weighing in at 2,205 square feet.
I’m not so sure that you will find a true deepwater waterfront condo within 5 minutes to downtown Charleston like this one. There’s a reason these don’t come on the market often!
